Japan Exchange Program Spring/Summer 2027
Every two years, Cambridge students may participate in our Cambridge-Yamate Homestay Cultural Exchange with Yamate-Gakuin high school in Yokohama, Japan. This program fosters cultural understanding and lasting friendships through the experience of students living with host families and exploring local culture, history, and traditions. It’s an enriching opportunity that broadens horizons and deepens appreciation for both American and Japanese culture. Our Cambridge Bear Community hosts Japanese students in April, and our students travel to Japan in July. Pictured here with Dr. Shea and our Yamate-Gakuin hosts are Principal Ashley Agans and Mrs. Julie Williams, both of whom contributed substantially to the success of our inaugural cultural exchange in 2025. We're currently recruiting hosts and travelers for our 2027 Cambridge-Yamate Homestay Cultural Exchange.

Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam Summer 2026
During the intervening years, students embark on educational adventure tours across Asia with EF Tours. In summer of 2026 we took Cambridge students to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Some of the experiences students enjoyed included a river and waterway cruise in the Mekong Delta, learning about guerrilla tactics during a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, visiting the Vietnamese Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum, enjoying a Khmer cooking class, visiting the Angkor Wat Temple Complex and Ta Prohm Temple, visiting the Siem Reap Landmine Museum, meeting the hero rats of the Apopo mine-removal NGO, touring the Grand Palace and see the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok, visiting the enormous Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, and taking an excursion to the ancient Siamese capital at Ayutthaya. This trip was not sponsored by Cambridge High School or Fulton County Schools.

South Korea Summer 2028
In the summer of 2028, Cambridge students will get the opportunity to travel with EF Educational Tours to South Korea. Our itinerary will include a attractions and experiences in Seoul, Gyeongju, and Busan. Highlights include a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Square, exploring the Gyeongju National Museum, participating in an introductory Korean martial arts class, learning how to cook Korean food, dancing like a K-Pop star in a K-Pop dance class, and a full-day tour of the Korea Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
